It's Friday night and I'm feeling fine. Going out with my girls tonight.. no, wait. No I'm not !
I'm happily sitting at home with a book on a sofa.
You know I've been trying to improve my eating game so here's what made tonight (instead of those Jaffa- cookies):
Potato flat bread with butter, cheese and salami + blueberries and this new sugar free soda from Vitamin Well. I was very, very surprised at how good this flavour tastes for I'm generally not a big fan of Apple + Ginger mix. Like a real old school soda but no calories or sugar. I'm going to need to stock this up !
I know my style might not be instyle at the moment but I love LOVE sunbathing and I love being tanned.
Let this be said now too that I have a very good skin, tanning wise. I don't get burned easily yet I tan pretty quickly and love the colour that I get.
I dislike with pleasure self tanners for their smell and the fuss. Also the over tanned or under tanned hand/ fingers always look horrible.
I go to solariums perhaps just the recommended maximum of ten times.
And when the sun comes out so do I.
Tanning takes a lot of work. Just laying there for hours can be very boring.
Hence I take with me iPod, a book, sometimes a magazine as well, water, few things to eat, napkins, huge and soft towel.
To prepare my skin for tanning I :
Exfoliate (minimum) the night before
Shave (also minimum) the night before
Moisturize well
I use very low spf, 6-10. I can not recommend these, low spf, to anyone else.
You better start with higher spf and then go lower if you see/ feel you're not getting tanned.
My favourite brand at the moment is Bergasol dry oils, gives good protection leaving your skin silky soft without leaving an oily feeling and they also moisturize while you're tanning.
I use the same product to my face also. Probably a big no no but that's how I use them.
After tanning and shower always use good after sun that's moisturizing and calming with aloe Vera for example.
Täällä Suomessa on ollut suhteellisen surkeat kelit auringonottoon. Aiemmin mainitsin solariumin käytöstä niin voin suositella täällä Helsingissä
I need to eat better and more. I eat too little good food and too much sugary stuff. That's why I decided to start a diary about what I eat during a whole week.
Feels super embarrassing to write everything down that I've eaten, maybe this will work. I'll have to pay more attention now.
Sorry to post this so late ! Enjoyed six days in Paris which will show, you'll see ;)

My hair guru is Inka at Gyyli (https://www.gyyli.fi/), she has a strong visual idea on what to do so I leave all to her.
The before wasn't bad, just a bit over grown ombré/ balayage even though my previous appointment was six months ago. Inka decided that she'll update and freshen up the previous model by adding more light, especially near face, yet naturally aiming for sun kissed highlights. Due to only doing highlights the colouring isn't so taxing on hair which is why my hair is in a fab shape. Also seen as we haven't dyed my hair from the top/ roots the colour will look good longer vs dying the whole hair and always worrying about roots.
Cut wise my hair was even long, super heavy and thick. Inka only cut the worse parts of the length, about few centimeters and focused on layering the hair lighter and more airier.
Inka and Gyyli are the same, it's her baby. She has highly skilled people working there and has selected everyone herself. Gyyli is a beautiful salon where you'll end up chatting to other customers and/ or the hairdressers after you're done. They have your fav gossip magazines ready at piles for you to feast your eyes before they're done making you gorgeous.
One thing that Inka said was that remember when you're at a hairdresser that the colour needs to look good even at wet when you come from the wash pit. It'll obviously lighten up when hair dries but if your hairdresser tells you "It'll be better when you wash it a few times" or "It'll tone down" or "After I've curled/ straightened your hair it'll be great" - not good.
