The day started rather nice but chilly looking. After breakfast brainstormed a bit and looked at where to go for the weather had turned to full on rain. Powerhose mode.
Päivä alkoi suht kauniina, mutta kolean näköisenä. Tilanne oli muuttunut aamiaisen aikana painepesurisateeseen, joten vetäydyttiin huoneseen miettimään seuraavaa liikettä.
There's a good bunch of restaurants and shops near the hotel by the way.
The restaurant is called Peter Pane and has a lunch menu until 5pm. They have delicious burgers, you'll see soon, and to that burgers price +4,50€ you get any cold drink + any hot drink. Pretty sweet deal to me!
Took an Avocado burger + lemonade (that thing was 0,5l !) + hot chocolate.
So so good.
Huone oli sen verran mukava, että oli jo lounasaika kun päästiin liikkeelle. Sateesta johtuen suunnattiin ihan hotellin vieressä olevaan ravintolaan, jonka ohi oltiin kävelty ja pohdittu 'joo vai ei'-mennään.
Hotellin vieressä on muuten paljon ruokapaikkoja ja kauppoja.
Ravintolan nimi on Peter Pane, heillä on lounas menu klo 17. Heillä on törkeen hyviä hampurilaisia, näätte kohta, ja hampparin hintaan + 4,50€ niin saat minkä tahansa kylmän juoman + minkä tahansa kuuman juoman. Aika hyvä paketti.
Otin Avocadohampurilaisen + limonaadi (lemonade), joka oli 0,5l + kaakaon.

My legs were still cramping from the walk and hike on Sunday at the park and to the column so I was thrilled to discover that this city has stairs absolutely everywhere- read sarcasm. Berlin is not for the weak muscled persons.
Mun jalat oli vieläkin kipeät ja kramppasivat, kun kävelin muistona sunnuntain kävelystä ja siitä torniin kiipeämisestä. Ilokseni huomasin, että Berliinissä on portaita ihan joka puolella- lue sarkasmia. Ei mikää heikkolihaksisten paikka tuo kaupunki.
After eating took the Ü-bahn to visit Museum of Technology. It's 'uge, as Trump would say. Totalling nine (9) floors separated in different departments the museum is abundant.
Includes: Aerospace (planes from world war 2), Navigation, Rail traffic, Road traffic, Photo technology and more.
The main entrance is brilliantly planned for there's a bar, you can get something to eat too, and lifts right next to it so you can chillax a bit and then continue your tour.
Somehow managed to look the opening times incorrectly so only had time to check out the railway, photo, medicine/ pills and computer sections before the museum closed.
Was so into to the exhibitions that I only have these photos of an old 'movie machine'.
Syömisen jälkeen mentiin Ü-bahnilla Tekniikan museoon. Aivan mieletön paikka. Yhteensä yhdeksän eri kerrosta jaettuna pariin eri rakennukseen. Sisältää mm. Ilmailu (Toisen maailmansodan lentokoneita), Navigaatio, Rautatie (vanhoja höyryjunia), Kuvatekniikka jne.
Paikka on hauskasti suunniteltu niin että kun tulee museoon sisälle siinä on ravintola, jossa syödä ja juoda ja siinä vieressä hissi. Voi siis välillä pitää taukoa ja sitten jatkaa kierrosta.
Oltiin katsottu väärin aukioloaika ja ehdittiin käydä vain Rautatie, Lääkkeet/ pillerit, Kuvatekniikka ja Tietokoneet näyttelyt läpi.
Olin niin fiiliksissä museosta,että mulla on tasan nämä pari kuvaa vanhasta 'kuvaleffakoneesta'.
Back to hotel to change clothes and headed to see some more cultur; How to became a Berliner in one hour. It's on every Tuesday at Kookaburra club.
The club was intimate, yet nice and comfy. Had a nacho plate there and some wino. The shows idea is from the guy, Olivier Giraud, behind How to became Parisian in one hour but obviously this one was performed and modified by a true Berliner Karsten Kaie. Super nice guy with good English, managed to have a little chat with him after show.
I think that the show is worth going to; it does have stereotypes but I think that's the idea to have fun with them and would be impossible do without. The tickets were ~18€.
Takaisin hotellille vaihtamaan vaatteet ja katsomaan hieman kulttuuria; How to become a Berliner in one hour. Esitys on joka tiistai Kookaburra klubilla.
Paikka oli intiimi silti siisti ja mukava, Syötiin nacholautanen ja lasi viiniä.
Shown idea on Olivier Giraudilta, jonka tekemä ja esittämä on How to became a Parisian in hour hour. Tämän shown oli muokannut ja esitti berliiniläinen stand up- koomikko Karsten Kaie. Oikein mukava kaveri, jolla hyvä englanti, hänellä oli hetki aikaa höpöttää esityksen jälkeen.
Mielestäni esitys kannattaa käydä katsomassa; siinä toki on räikeitäkin stereotypiointia, mutta niillähän tässä leikitellään. Liput olivat noin 18€.
After the show there was a small Italian restaurant near the club with authentically mob boss looking owner/ waiter so couldn't resist and went in. So far every place, café or restaurant, has had good food and quite cheap too. This didn't fail either.
Klubin vieressä oli pieni italialainen ravintola, jossa epäilyttävästi aidon mafiapomon näköinen omistaja/ tarjoilija- oli pakko mennä sisälle.
Tähän mennessä Berliinissä kaikki ruoat ja juomat olivat olleet hyviä (ja halpoja), tämäkään ei pettänyt.
Returning to the hotel and saddened by the fact it was the last night headed to the cool lounge and enjoyed a cocktail.
Hotellille palatessa tajusi, että nyt on viimeinen ilta ja sitä hieman venyttääkseen mentiin aulan lounge baariin yksille cocktaileille.
